GABRIELE E. HIEMANN

Gabriele Hiemann was born in 1960 nearby Stuttgart, Germany. After completing a typical German apprenticeship, she obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management and International Transportation Logistics in 1980. Before she moved to the USA in 1984, Gabi held management positions in Germany with Kuno Bart Spedition as well as Birkart Spedition. In 1984 she accepted a job offer from Max Gruenhut and moved to Boston to join the local Gruenhut office. When the export manager left the company, Gabi was given the opportunity to move-up into that position. Gabi joined Seajet as a managing partner in May of 1988, to set-up and manage the air and ocean exports forwarding division. Gabriele Hiemann assumed new responsibilities in 1999 and was promoted to Financial Controller/VP Finance.
