"IMPORTER SECURITY FILING"

10 + 2

ARE YOU READY?

New “Importer Security Filing” Regulations in 2009!

In just a couple of weeks, the new ISF filing regulations will go into effect on January 26, 2009.

This is an extremely important subject matter for all importers.

A number of trade organizations (including Conect.org in New England) have held seminars and the subject matter has made headline news in many trade publications.

Our mailing is a friendly reminder to all of you to get familiar with these new regulations, which Customs will phase-in starting on January 26, 2009 and which will eventually be enforced, with significant financial penalties issued to importers, if these new rules are ignored. It is also important to emphasize, that the language of this new law is such, that it is the importer who must furnish all the required information!

This is a very long, very detailed and very complicated subject.

Much too long to fit onto a postcard or inside an email.

For that reason, we have created a PowerPoint slide show available for viewing on the Seajet web site.

The Seajet 10+2 ISF filing resource guide information can be found here
