RONALD W. HIEMANN

Ronald Hiemann was born in 1952 in Bremen, Germany. After successfully completing a typical 3 years apprenticeship, Ronald obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management and International Transportation Logistics in 1968. Until 1975 he was the Station Manager of the Gruenhut air freight office in Bremen. In early 1975 the company presented a new challenge by offering Ronald a new position connected with a move to America. In May of 1975 he emigrated to the USA and became the U.S. representative of the German air freight organization. His job title was AFDUSA as in Air Freight Delegate USA. In this position he acted as a troubleshooter traveling around the USA to visit branch offices and agents to work on sales related matters. A new job opportunity presented itself in 1979, when Ronald was appointed President of Max Gruenhut International, stationed in Boston. Following some corporate changes including the sale of the formerly family owned Max Gruenhut company to Bowater Industries in England, Ronald resigned his position in 1987 and went on to found Seajet Express Inc., specializing in Far East import forwarding services.
